Manipur Gov, CM, others extend Good Friday greetings

On the eve of Good Friday, Manipur Governor Dr Najma Heptulla, chief minister N Biren Singh and other greeted the people of the state especially Christian brethrens.

In her greeting, the Governor reminded the compassion and supreme sacrifice of Jesus Christ for all the since of mankind and said “His message of love, forgiveness, truth and renunciation of violence, fanaticism or revenge should always be remembered by one and all.” She called for all to come forward and uphold the noble ideals of peace, harmony and brotherhood espoused by him (Jesus) for a better world, devoid of all evils.

“Let this sacred day be observed in its true spirit,” Dr Heptulla said while giving her best wishes also to the people of the state for a very Happy Easter. In the midst of cruelty around Him, and despite His agony, Jesus Christ on the cross said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do” stated the chief minister. He wished “On the solemn occasion of Good Friday, and in the celebration of Easter Sunday, let us rededicate ourselves to the noble virtues of love, peace and forgiveness for strengthening the bond of brotherhood and unity amongst all communities of the state.” 

State IPR minister Th Biswarjit, CAF&PD minister Th Satyajit and others also greeted the people of the state, particularly Christian brethrens.
