Medico, a Dimapur based chemist, Saturday donated a total of 10,000 masks to Dimapur based Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) to be distributed to those in need of masks.

The masks were handed over to Dimapur Districts GB Association (DDGBA), GBs Union Dimapur (GBUD) Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF) and Dimapur District Village Council Chairman Association (DDVCCA) by Nagaland Medicine Dealers Association (NMDA) president, Ato Yepthomi. 

Proprietor of Medico, Basu Damani, thanked the CSOs for taking the responsibility to distribute the masks. He also assured assistance in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

PDLSA contributes to quarantine centres: Peren District Legal Services Authority (PDLSA) contributed rice and other essential items to quarantine centres of Peren & Jalukie sub-division on May 23 at COVID-19 Control Room, ADC office Jalukie. According to DIPR report, the contributed items were handed over to CMO Peren in the presence of other Medical staff and SDPO Peren by retainer lawyer PDLSA, Asungbe. Legal pamphlets in different acts and dialects were also handed over to Medical department for quarantines by the PDLSA.

SBI Dimapur: SBI employees’ Thrift & Co-Operative Society Dimapur Nagaland, under its social responsibility initiative donation of face shield and mineral water to frontline workers, Dimapur on May 20 and 21. Items donated were 150 face shields to the commissioner of Police (CP) and 100 face shields and 100 cartoon mineral water to the chief medical office (CMO). 

NPCC minority wing Dimapur: Commemorating the 29th death anniversary of late Rajiv Gandhi, Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) minority wing distributed rations to people affected by the lockdown at Thaheku village, Dimapur.

Hindu Samaj and Muslim community Kiphire: The Hindu Samaj and Muslim community of Kiphire town contributed mattresses and bedsheets to the district administration Kiphire for use in quarantine centres on May 22 at DC office. According to DIPR report, the DC staff of Kiphire also donated a sum of Rs. 50,000/- towards the quarantine centres.
