MCK organises international webinar on gender issues

International webinar under the theme “Re-thinking gender issues: Voices of young minds” was organised by department of History, Modern College Kohima (MCK) on November 3. 

A press release by MCK principal, Dr. Vitsou Yano stated that, speakers were Julia Günther, scholar at University of Vienna and lecturer at Karl Landsteiner, Dr. Lovitoli Jimo, assistant professor, Ambedkar University Delhi, spoke on the topic “Her (story) in history: Traditional governance systems, and customary practices and laws”, Dr. Teresa L Khawzawl, assistant professor, Anthropology, Cotton University, Guwahati, spoke on “women, work and leisure” and Dr. Resenmenla Longchar, assistant professor, History, ICFAI University, Nagaland spoke on “Gender performances and roles in Ao-Naga family system”. 
The webinar was chaired by Senjano N. Murry, HoD, History and Dr. Vitsou Yano, principal, gave the welcome address.
