Model village panchayat hall inaugurated

7th mile model village panchayat hall was inaugurated on February 27 by Chumoukedima Village Council (CVC) chairman and advisor to Dimapur villages chairman association, Razouvotuo Chatsu.

In a press release, 7thmile model village, Chumukedima circle, chairman Imkong Tzudir stated that while speaking at the programme, Razouvotuo Chatsu reminisced on the establishment of the village in 1948 by Lhouzekuo Angami and others who had overcome difficulties such as infestation of wild animals like tigers and bears including snakes, leaches and wild shrubs. 

He also encouraged the villagers to be at par with others in matters of development and social activities.  

While congratulating the villagers for the construction of the panchayat hall, Chatsualso reproved the shortcomings which were unsuitable for a village that was about 70 years old and appreciated the women organisation and youth for various social activities undertaken by them since 2018.

Maintaining that the inauguration of the panchayat hall was his third visit in the last two years, he observed that it should be a model to other villages and that, all Naga tribes settled in the village should reflect a mini-Nagaland.

Earlier, NCRC prayer centre, pastor Neibulie Bei-o, proposed invocation prayer, VCM KK Newmai delivered welcome address on behalf of the village chairman, Servanthood Bible College presented a special song, while vote of thanks was delivered by youth president, Keneiletuo Zumvu and benediction by Servanthood bible college, Moatemsu Jamir.

Short speeches were also delivered by head GB Zasizhalie Tacu, women association chairperson Moangtula, SMC chairman, Z. Kepfelhou Koza and other invitees. 

The inauguration program was attended by several Goan Burahs (GBs) and youth leaders from neighbouring villages besides the leaders of the village and villagers.
