A music video “Asheshina Wuvelo” was officially released by guest of honor, NSCN (R) vice president Akato Chophi on Wednesday, at hotel Saramati, Dimapur. 

During the releasing programme, keynote of the video was delivered by artist Ilitoli Kumsu Shohe who mentioned that the song was originally composed by Tovili Y Zhomi and was first sung at the All India Radio (AIR), Kohima in 1975. She mentioned that the composer was a well-known legendary artist, singer, composer and the first among the Sumi women to perform in AIR who had composed more than 20 songs till date.

Shohe added that she approached Zhimo to promote the song with the motive to enlighten the younger generation about yesteryears artists after contemplating for a long period of time. In regard to the song, Shohe asserted that “Asheshina Wuvelo” was an old sumi love song. 

Meanwhile, guest of honour, NSCN (R) vice president, Akato Chophi in his speech expressed his happiness to be a part of the programme. 

Chophi being a music lover himself, stated that “Music doesn’t just motivate you; it can also help reduce stress and promote a more positive mindset.”

He further called upon all to encourage and support the talents of the artist and also ushered the audience to learn to uplift and promote them. 

The programme was chaired by Toly Chophi and benediction prayer was proposed by associate women pastor, Thahekhu Isali Chophi.
