NASA holds meet at IG Stadium

Northern Angami Sports Association held its 62nd NASA meet 2021, at IG Stadium, here Saturday with DC, Kohima,  Thejawhelie Gregory, Sote as guest of honor. He later kicked off the meet open.

During the Inaugural programme, Rev. Neivilie-o Zuyie, invoked God’s blessings, while NASA president, Vinolie Medom delivered the presidential address. A special presentation was made by Mhalezonuo Khruomo while NASA games secretary, Keduorü Lhoungu administered the oath. 

In men’s football final, group-A defeated group-B by 3-1 and were crowned the new NASA champion. Earlier, in the first semi final of the men’s football match, defending champions, group-C took on group-A and lost by 2 goals to 1.  In the second semi-final group-B took on group-D and won by 3 goals to 1.

In women’s volleyball final, group-C emerged as the champions while group-D secured the runner-up position. On the way final, which was held at Hockey ground, Group D defeated Group B and in the second Semi final group C won against group A.

The valedictory programme was held with NFCA and NAYO president Roko Angami as the special guest. He gave away the prizes. The programme was chaired by NASA vice president, Viketoulie Solo, while Keduorü Lhoungu, announced the name of the players selected for NASA team for upcoming ASA meet 2021 while Ruokuohelie Mere proposed the vote of thanks.  Neingusalie Khruomo and  Kikruneinuo Liezietsu were the comperers during the meet. Kohima Town Club (KTC) and Kohima District Volleyball Association officiated the football and volleyball matches respectively.
