Nagaland Law Students’ Federation (NLSF) delegation met vice chancellor, Nagaland University (NU) Pardeshi Lal, registrar Dr. Abemo, controller of examination Dr. Moasangba and deputy registrar Albert on February 11.

A press release by president NLSF, C Talimoa and education secretary, Shenti Simon C stated that the NLSF delegation informed the VC that since the earlier Consumer Protection Act 1986 was replaced by Consumer Protection Act 2019 and that as the state government has also adopted the new consumer act, it was imperative that NU also do the same.

As Consumer Protection Act 1986 was a subject in the first Semester LL.B course, NLSF apprised the University to replace the said syllabus with the New Act in the LL.B course.

As assured by the University, the quality and standard of education could not be compromised at any cause. The federation also discussed matters pertaining to exams during the pandemic, LL.M and other relevant issues with the University.

Earlier, NLSF expressed gratitude to the University for introducing the PG Degree (LL.M) under Nagaland University which was a long cherished dream.
