NNC (PB) reiterates stand on Naga unity

The NNC (Parent Body) under the leadership of Yilow Humtsoe, Zhiongba Yimchungru and V. Nagi once again want to make it very clear to all the Naga people in particular and all concerned that-

In 1946 the NNC The Political institution was established in the name “Naga National” covering all the Naga Inhabited areas for freedom by the Central Naga people, and at that point of time wisely and distinctly mentioned NAGAS.

On 14th August ,1947, The NNC officially declared the Naga Independence mentioned NAGAS as cabled to the United Nations Organisation, one day before Indian declaration of her Independence, and this was acknowledged by the United Nations Organisation.

The NNC conducted Naga voluntary Plebiscite in 1951 as per the advanced information given to the Government of India requesting to send its representatives and observers to Nagaland to witness the holding of Plebiscite vide NNC letters dated March 30th and April 11th, 1951. The result which was finally tabulated  showed 99.9% voted for a Sovereign Independent Naga Nation.

On January 24,1950, the NNC informed the Government of India, the United Nations Organisation and all the Foreign Ambassadors in New Delhi that NAGAS DO NOT ACCEPT THE INDIAN CONSTITUTION.

The NNC rejection and non participation of Indian general elections of 1952 and 1957 in Toto. The NNC had rejected and condemned 16th Points Agreement of 1960 and statehood of 1963.

The NNC had condemned and rejected the Shillong Accord of 1975 in letter and spirit,  and none of the NNC leader or leaders signed or participated in the treacherous accord as a clear cut and crystal clear record of the political institution of the Naga people as a whole.

The NNC have never till date failed or committed any blunder in the fight and struggle for freedom of sovereignty of the Naga homeland. Rather the NNC tirelessly worked for Naga peace and National unity after the fragmentation caused by some officials of Federal Government of Nagaland who signed the Accord of 1975 under duress. Since 1982 and till date the NNC stood firm for Naga peace and unity, and upholding our freedom first.

The NNC always stood firm for the downtrodden Naga people of Burma region in the interest of all concerned. And at this political situation, no one should be left out for the larger and best interest of the Homeland. Since the Government of India have officially recognised the historical and political rights of the Nagas to self determine their future in consonance with their distinct identity and the unique history and situations of the Naga people signed on 3rd August 2015 and 17th November 2017 as political agreements.

Therefore, the NNC earnestly appeal to all concerned to come together to hammer out all the differences politically for the sake of freedom in the best interest of the Naga people as a whole to achieve our political goal with one voice, one political stand and one freedom. Kuknalim
