No new COVID case reported

No new COVID-19 cases were reported in the State on Friday, while active cases stood at 15. As on March 5, the total caseload remained at 12210. Till date, a total of 11951 patients have recovered from the infection.

41,835 inoculated: State Health department Friday informed that a total of 41,835 doses of the Covishield Vaccine have been administered across the state till date. 
According to state immunization officer (UIP) Dr. Ritu Thurr, 800 senior citizens 60 years and above and 82 beneficiaries with specified comorbidities between 45-59 years have successfully received the COVID-19 vaccine without any adverse events needing medical interventions. 
Dr.Thurr said that vaccination would continue for the citizens across all notified COVID-19 Vaccination Centers (CVC). 
Asserting that the pandemic was expected to go on for years, Dr. Thurr said there was an urgency to vaccinate citizens as early as possible with the increase in COVID-19 variants and mutations.
