NSCN (I-M), FGN condole demise of members

 NSCN (I-M) and Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN), in separate condolence messages, have mourned the demise of its members. N S C N / G P R N : NSCN (I-M) has expressed grief over the demise of its tatar, Rhanbenthung Ovung of Hankvu village under Lotha Region, who passed away on May 3. In a condolence message, NSCN (I-M) MIP said late Ovung enrolled in the “Naga national service” in 2005 and served the “Naga nation” with unwavering patriotism until his demise. Stating that the void created by Ovung’s demise would be difficult to fill, NSCN (I-M) said his name would be recorded in the pages of the Naga history for his selfless contributions to the “Naga national cause” and that his sacrifices would be cherished by all. Further, NSCN (I-M) has conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed to rest in peace. FGN: Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has expressed shock and sadness at the untimely demise of its ‘major general’, Nievehu Rhakho of Lozaphuhu village on May 7 at his residence. In a condolence message, FGN ‘commander-in-chief, Naga Army’, ‘Gen’. Tavecho Lala said late Rhakho joined the “national defence” service on July 21, 1989 and served in different capacities. FGN said late Rhakho rendered his entire life in “national defence” service and upheld the principle of the “nation” till his last breath. FGN further added that his demise was a great loss yet his true sacrifice for the “nation” would remain alive in “our hearts and in the history of our nation”. Further, FGN has prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace and that Almighty God would grant peace and solace to the bereaved family members and relatives at this hour of grief.
