NUN supports continuation of LFA

Raising concern on discontinuation of Legislators Forum on AIDS (LFA) in the battle against HIV and AIDS in Nagaland, the Nagaland User’s Network (NUN) has urged the chief minister Neiphiu Rio and his team of elected members to reconsider the decision taken for a better Nagaland.

A press release by NUN president, Pepe Khamo stated that, the LFA has contributed a lot in the fight against HIV & AIDS and that the sudden withdrawal of support has created a gap in the HIV programme in the state. Pointing out that the support from LFA had really made a lot of difference in terms of awareness and education when it comes to HIV & AIDS, the NUN stated that, for a free HIV state, the political leadership and ownership were seriously required.
NUN further stated that it has been at “the receiving end when it comes to impact by the void created from the stoppage of this support.”
