NVC asks mission director SSA to release installment

Ngwalwa Village Council (NVC) has reiterated its appeal to the mission director, SSA and responsible department to release the second instalment for completion of residential quarter for teachers at GHS Ngwalwa.

In a press release, NVC chairman Kiepeube Zehuny said that the School Management and Development Committee (SMDC) Ngwalwa understood the situation arising due to the pandemic. However, NVC expressed disappointment that the department had failed to take action despite its appeal made on April 18, 2021.

NVC also termed as “uncalled for” the alleged “verbal abuse” by an employee of the department when it appealed to the department to release remaining instalment.

The council said School Management and Development Committee Ngwalwa welcomed any level of inquiry into the issue as the delay has escalated cost of building material but the money sanctioned would remain the same.

NVC therefore urged the responsible department to intervene and address the matter for the welfare of the village.
