Zeme Youth Organisation Nagaland (ZYON) in a condemnation note by president, R Jhon Zeliang and joint secretary, Keyi Sephe expressed shock over the barbaric act of miscreants who gunned down late Dichungbe Newme on August 4. ZYON appealed law enforcing agency to probe investigation so that perpetrators are booked at the earliest. Maintaining that it would not be at rest till justice was served, ZYON hoped that befitting punishment will be awarded as per the law and restore peace in the society.

CRF Peren: Civil Rights Forum (CRF), Peren in a condemnation from its media cell stated that the killing of late Dichungbe Newme at New Beisumpui village was a “direct challenge and a threat not only to the family and villagers but every citizen in the land and society”.
CRF urged the government to commission a special investigation team at the district level to probe into the matter till the culprits are detected and booked under relevant section of law.
Further, the forum conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and pray that God would console them with greater blessings.
