Pangnyu inaugurates CHC at Tening

Minister for Health and Family Welfare (H&FW), government of Nagaland, S. Pangnyu Phom inaugurated the primary health centre (PHC) to community health centre (CHC), Tening on March 6, 2021.

According to DIPR report, S. Pangnyu Phom stated that with the initiative of the chief minister, a high power committee was set up and 390 posts for doctors and nurses were created in the midst of COVID-19.

10 CHCs, 15 PHCs and 43 sub health centre were created/ upgraded in the current phase, he said. Phom also said that all required facilities of CHC Tening would be sanctioned as per the norms and appealed to the public for cooperation and support to the government for all-round development.

Advisor IPR, SCERT and village guard, Toshi Wungtung, advisor youth resources and sports, Er Zale Neikha, advisor treasuries & accounts, national highways Dr. Longrineken and advisor water resources development, Namri Nchang also spoke on the occasion.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peren, Sentiwapang Aier appealed to the advisor for village guard to look into borders security and also urged the advisor for youth resources and sports to take care of the talented youth from the district. Principal director, health & family welfare, Dr. Kevichusa Medikhru said that the department would be mooting for post creation of doctors and also assured for better medical equipments. Later, the minister inspected the wards and laboratories and senior medical officer, CHC Tening informed that solar power would be installed at the hospital.

The traditional welcome was accorded by Old Nkio village, speech by additional deputy commissioner, Rhosietho Nguori.

The programme was presided by senior MO, CHC, Dr. Neilasakuo Linyu while vote of thanks was delivered by deputy CMO, Peren Dr. Lanuakum. MLA representative of the area and advisor for water resource development, Namri Nchang was the host of the programme.
