Patton, Chingwang condolence

Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) president Chingwang Konyak and deputy chief minister and leader of BLP, Y. Patton have condoled the demise of late Nchumo Kikon, who passed away at Dimapur after a brief illness on October 29. Late Nchumo was the incumbent general secretary of NDPP and was actively involved with the activities of the party.

Y. Patton: Y. Patton in a condolence note stated that late Nchumo was closely known to him for years and associated to his political careers in different ways. Y Patton stated that late Kikon, who hailed from Koio village, Wokha was a man of integrity with strong zeal and determination to strive for peace and was loved by all. Patton also stated that late Kikon had served the people throughout his life in different capacities, and also made great contributions towards bringing positive changes in the lives of the people not only in political area but in general. Patton said that the vacuum created by late Kikon will be difficult to fill and on behalf of all the BJP legislatures expressed deepest condolence to the bereaved family and to the departed soul rest in peace. 
Chingwang Konyak: In a condolence message to Angangla Kikon, wife of late Nchumo, the NDPP president stated that, late Nchumo shouldered, performed and executed all duties and assignments given to him, with sincerity, dedication and commitment.  Expressing pain at the loss of such a senior leader with vast experience and directly involved with the grassroots, Chingwang stated that NDPP in particular and the community in general have lost an outstanding leader and the vacuum left by him will be hard to fill. Chingwang on his own and on behalf of all rank and file of the NDPP conveyed deepest condolences to his wife and all members of the bereaved family. NDPP also pray that Almighty God give strength and solace during this trying time and that the departed soul rest in peace.
