“Kindness Campaign” initiated by Phom Shangdü WhatsApp Group of Phom intellectual people has extended support to different churches that could not complete constructions on time through contributions among members and well wishers since its inception four years back. 

In the same vein, the Phom Shangdü initiated the “Kindness Campaign” during mid April by producing more than 30000 (thirty thousands) face masks by setting Rs. 600000 (six lakh) as target to stitch locally made face masks. These were to be provided to the villagers under Longleng district and frontline workers at different locations and destination.  Phom Shangdu entrusted Phom Baptist Christian Association Mission Centre (PBCA) tailoring units to stitch 30000 (thirty thousand) face mask along with the help of local tailors of the district. The hand stitched fabric mask can be reused and washable and is very convenient for rural populace. “Kindness Campaign” also plans to provide locally stitched mask to every household of Phom villages for protection against Coronavirus and other diseases in the long run. 

Phom Shangdu Whatsapp Group is headed by HongkamNgonyen, former Phom Students’ Conference (PSC) as the chief administrator with 244 active members. The group has number of Phom officers, intellectuals and elders from Aoching to Ladigarh villages.
