RBSK conducts medical drive in Dimapur schools

With the reopening of schools, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) team under Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dimapur resumed its activities from March 22.
A press release by district media officer Kimnei stated that RBSK team Dimapur comprised of medical officersDr. Nukshitola Kichu and Dr. Kadila A, GNM Kethokholu Swuro, ANM Seyietuono, ophthalmic assistant Tsolo-u Koza, RBSK coordinator Imtisungkum Ao and driver Tezinchu Teb.
RBSK is an initiative under National Health Mission (NHM) which aims at early identification and early intervention for children from birth to 18 years to cover four Ds’ such as defects at birth, deficiencies, diseases, and development delays including disability. 
Besides government aided schools, the team has visited anganwadi centres, covering a minimum of 20 schools and 20 anganwadi centres in a month. 
After screening for diseases, the team also referred the children to nearest government health facility for further investigations if required.
It may be mentioned that these medical activities are ongoing and are conducted according to the situation.
The Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram team conducts these activities mainly at schools and at anganwadi centres during the winters.
