Reproductive child health camp at Yongphang village

Reproductive Child Health (RCH) camp was held at Yongphang village on April 21 with an aim to spread wellness and bring awareness among the people at large, to screen the patients in the village, distribute medicines, to treat common diseases and refer, as the case may be for surgery or further treatment. 

In a press release, district media officer, Roseline stated that under the family planning services, condoms and OCPs were distributed, 11 women availed Copper T services, children below five years were immunised, full ANC check up for pregnant women and counselling was provided, screening and testing for TB for all age groups with a cough of more than two weeks, screening of children for 4Ds under RBSK and dental screening and tooth extraction.

The team was led by DPO (RCH/UIP) Dr. Imnameren Phom, DTO (NTEP)Dr. Temsusashi, MO (RBSK) Dr. Lirenthung Khuvung, Dr. Sanuzolu Pediatrician DH, Dr. Chumei Phom Dentist DH, DPM, BPM, DCM, DAM, ASHA Coordinator, ASHAs, Dr. Sungtiben Amlari DPM (QA), pharmacist, CHOs and FHWs from Pongo PHC and Yangching HWC, lab technician, media officer, RNTCP staffs, and DEO (IDSP).

District media officer and district community mobiliser also conducted focussed group discussion on ANC, family planning, breastfeeding, newborn care and maternal health. IPC sessions were conducted for pregnant women and lactating mothers.

Altogether 147 beneficiaries availed the services.  It may be mentioned that the health camp makes sure people receive healthcare at the right time.
