Admitting rifts within the BJP State unit, deputy chief minister and BJP Legislative Party leader Y Patton assured to resolve them at the earliest.
He said this when asked about the ongoing dissent within the party on the sideline of a programme held at his residence here on Wednesday to give away protective gear equipment to Nagaland Secretariat Service Association (NSSA).
Patton also admitted to having received a letter from 10 BJP districts presidents demanding removal of party’s State president Temjen Imna Along.
However, he explained that as the letter was addressed to party’s central leaders, they were expected to intervene and visit the State soon to resolve the issue. He said the BJP legislators were equally concerned over the issue and held series of meetings in this regard.
