RPF NFR arrested 72 criminals in 2019

The  Railway Protection Force (RPF) of N.F. Railway that had conducted drives against anti-social elements in railway stations and trains, apprehended 72 persons involved in offences like luggage lifting pick pocketing and chain snatching etc. during the year 2019. Eight persons were also apprehended for involvement in crime against women in addition to 18 people were also apprehended and handed over to GRP for drugging of passenger during train journey, NFR chief public relations officer Subhanan Chanda stated . 

The release by the chief public relations officer stated that the  RPF personnel of Katihar and CPDS (Crime Prevention & Detection Squad) team of RPF had recently conducted drive at Katihar Railway Station on January 7 and apprehended 5 persons with recovery of stolen mobiles, Ativan tablets, blades, cash, knife, Aadhar cards etc from their possession.

 The name of persons  apprehended are: Suraj Bisphor (27) S/o -Hariar Bisphor, Katihar, Bihar with recovery of 2 mobile phones,  1 Aadhar card, blades and 24 Ativan tablets  and cash rupees 100;  Dhiraj Bisphor (32), S/o- Lt Lalji Bisphor, Katihar, Bihar with recovery of 1 mobile phone, 24 Ativan tablets , 1 Aadhar card, 1 knife and rupees 200; Sunil Poddar (30), S/o- Lt R.P. Podar, Katihar, Bihar  with recovery of 1 mobile phone; Chhotu  Kr. Sah ( 32),S/o Sundar Sah,  Katihar, Bihar with recovery of 1 Debit card, 1 Aadhar card, rupees 200, 26 Ativan tablets , blades and;  Arup Moddak (35), S/o- Dipu Moddak, Siliguri, Darjeeling, (WB) with recovery of 2 mobile phones, rupees 525. 

In this connection,  Sri Anoop Tiwari/SI lodged a written complaint and handed over all the accused with seized items to OC/GRP/KIR and a case was registered  U/S 401/411/414/379/34 of IPC, 137/147 of Rly Act and 20/22 of NDPS Act against the accused persons.
