Appealing to the Indian authorities to urgently resolve the Naga issue which has been lingering for too long, the Sumi Aphuyemi Hoho (SAH) said that when the Naga issue is resolved, “the beneficiaries will be only other Indian states but when the Naga issue is prolong the peaceful atmosphere of others too will be affected.”

In a press release, the SAH president Inavi Swu, general secretary Ghuzui Shohe and information and publicity secretary K. A. Jacob stated that Nagas were not bargaining for what was alien to them but only demanding its birth right which every citizen in the world has. SAH therefore stated that, Indian leaderships should accept and acknowledge it at the earliest for peaceful co-existence as good neighbor.
SAH also expressed gratitude to the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organisation (UNPO) for extending its solidarity and upholding the inalienable rights of the Nagas and supporting Naga cause in international platform at the recently concluded XV General Assembly (GA) of UNPO held in Washington DC from July 31 to August 2, 2020. It was resolved at the GA to “Support a peaceful resolution of the Indo-Naga issue which is just, long lasting, honorable and acceptable to both the sides” and called on “the international community to appeal to India to fulfil its commitments in the Framework Agreement on the Indio-Naga issues, and urges India to repeal acts such as the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Acts and the Disturbed Area Act which overly militarize the situation facing the Naga People.”
