SCC conducts webinar on ‘astronomy for all’

Department of Physics, Sao Chang College (SCC), Tuensang, organised national webinar under the theme “astronomy for all” on October 15, with assistant professor, dept. of physics, Assam University, Silchar, Dr. Himadri Sekhar Das and Fellow Max Planck Society, Munich Germany, Dr. Sandipan Dhar, as resource person of the webinar.

A press release by convenor media cell, SCC, M Shiu, stated that Dr. Himadri Sekhar Das spoke on the topic “amazing world of astronomy”, where he specifically spoke on working nature of meteors, asteroids, comets, stars, solar system and other planetary working system.
Dr. Sandipan Dhar while speaking in the session spoke on the topic jantar mantar stone astronomical observatory. 
In the discussion, he spoke on the origin of universe through big bang theory and on the different jantar mantars observatory of India and other countries. 
The webinar was hoisted by assistant professor & HoD physics, SCC, Tuensang, Dipak Nath. Introduction of resource persons was initiated by Chaangsonla Chang, BSc and Niamkoi Khiamniungan, of BSc 3rd semester student of SCC, while welcome note was addressed by principal in-charge, SCC, Longtichang Tzudir. Altogether, 265 participants attended the webinar.
