SCC seeks exemption for exam candidates

Staff Selection Commission (NER) has urged the government of Nagaland to exempt candidates appearing for SCC exams and functionaries from pandemic related restrictions.

In a letter addressed to the state chief secretary, regional director (NER), N Zimik assured that SSC would implement COVID-19 norms during its computer-based examinations to ensure health and safety of the candidates.

SCC informed that appropriate precautionary measures have been taken by the commission for fair and transparent conduct of the examination.

Further, the commission has asked the government that examination centres be allowed to open and operate for activities related to preparation and conduct of examinations.

SCC has requested the government to issue suitable instructions to the responsible department(s)/authorities /district administrations to extend necessary cooperation to the exam functionaries.

It has also sought for adequate security arrangement to be made at exam cities in the state to maintain law and order, and to appoint a nodal officer to oversee the law and order situation.
