SDO (C) Chumukedima prohibits illegal storage/parking

Sub-Divisional Officer (SDC) Civil Chumukedima, Thejavizo Nakhro has cautioned against random storage/parking of materials on National Highway-29 (Purana Bazaar to Chumukedima town).

According to DIPR report, SDO (C) Chumukedima has enforced the prohibition under several Sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The report stated that having regard to general public safety and property, SDO(C) has prohibited storage/parking of materials such as stone boulders, sand bricks, construction materials, firewood, bamboo, excavated earth etc. for commercial or personal purposes causing obstruction, litter and damage of public roads, drainage and waterways.

SDO (C) has also prohibited heavy vehicles ferrying loose earth/construction materials without tail door (rear dallah) and thereby littering the road. The order said defaulters would be liable to be proceeded against by concerned authority as per relevant sections of law.
