Seized expired items destroyed in Pfutsero

Pfutsero Town Administration, security, Pfutsero Town Welfare Committee (PTWC) and Pfutsero town Voluntary Consumer Organization (PTVCO) conducted checking of expired goods on February 17 at Pfutsero Town. 

A press release by president, PTVCO, Vetsurayi Tetseo, stated that expired goods worth more than Rs. 1 lakh were seized during the checking, and were burnt at Pfutsero town council dumping place in the presence of Pfutsero town traders union and administration.  Meanwhile, PTVCO has warned shopkeepers selling expired goods that the public and administration would take serious action against defaulters. PTVCO further urged upon consumers to check manufacture date and expiry date before buying any goods from the shop.
