Sesame, Imperial in WCC quarterfinals

Sesame Jinx and Imperials have entered the quarterfinals of the 25th edition of Winter Cricket Challenge played at local ground, Wokha on Saturday. 

On the way to quarterfinal, Sesame Jinx thrashed Street Boys by 65 runs. 

Electing to bat first, Sesame set a target of 134 runs in the allotted overs (20 overs). 

In reply, Street Boys were bowled out for 68 runs. 

T. Penthungo Lotha of Sesame Jinx displayed an amazing batting performance and scored 44 runs in 49 balls. Shibu Thakuri of Sesame Jinx, who scored 22 runs in 24 balls and claimed three wickets, was named man of the match. 

In the second match of the day, Imperials batting first scored a huge 175 runs in 20 overs. 

ABC failed to chase down the target and lost the match by 65 runs in 19.2 overs. 

Man of the match award was claimed by Abemo Kikon, who remained not out on 67 runs from 61 balls. 

The award was handed over by Engineer Generation, Likimro Hydro project, Chopathung Kithan.
