Skylark CC lift 29th MDCA Inter Club Cricket Tournament trophy

Skylark CC emerged as the champions of the 29th MDCA Inter Club Cricket Tournament 2021 after defeating A&K Cricket Fraternity by 8 wickets in the final match played at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung on Thursday.
Asked to chase 121 to win the title, Skylark CC reached the target losing only 2 wickets in 16.3 overs. Earlier in the day, A&K Cricket Fraternity having won the toss and elected to bat first could mustered 120 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Nripen and Meyameren contributed 29 runs and 26 runs respectively. Temjenmeren took 2 wickets while Aloto, Vijay Rai and Sanjay took 1 wicket each. 
Chasing the target, Skylark got off to a flyer with the openers, Vijay Rai and Santosh giving a partnership of 96 runs. Santosh made 57 not out while Vijay Rai contributed 44 runs for Skylark. Jangzapong was the only bowler who accounted for both the wickets. Skylark CC with this win has lifted the MDCA Trophy for two times in last three years.
