SNUNS celebrates pre-Christmas

Southern Nagas’ Union of Nagaland State (SNUNS) organised pre-Christmas get-together with all tribal leaders of Nagaland based in Dimapur at Poumai Baptist Church on December 18.

According to SNUNS, convenor, Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR), Rev. Dr. Wati Aier, who spoke at the programme dwelt on the present context of the Naga situation and expressed concern over the lack of trust for one another and every community living in their own cocoon. 
“Today we are so divided. This is our own creation. The warring culture is still in our minds. We must do away this in the name of Christmas as Christians. We must become one and live as one,” he said.
Meanwhile, president, Eastern Nagas Peoples’ Union Dimapur (ENPUD), L Shahoto Yimchungru urged leaders to retrospect and introspect where Nagas had gone wrong.
Earlier, general secretary SNUNS, Kashungnao Worshim chaired the programme, president, Sanii Putukho delivered welcome address, invocation by director, Transforming Life Mission Dimapur, S Angrung Tarao and benediction by pastor, TBC Diphupar, Rev Candid Sareo. Veshu Vero, treasurer, Tenyimia Union Dimapur and NA Kasar, a senior citizen also exhorted at the occasion.  Altogether, 60 leaders from various communities attended the programme which was conducted observing strict SOPs.
