SSP Kohima flags off ‘Fit India Freedom Run’

Fit India Freedom Run organised by the Kohima Smart City in collaboration with the Kohima Municipal Council supported by the Bharat Scouts and Guides was flagged off on  October 1 by Sr. SP Kohima,  Kevithuto Sophie NPS.

According to DIPR report, the rally started at 7 am from PHQ junction and culminated at Local Ground Kohima. Including 20 cyclist, citizens from all 19 wards and scouts and guides participated in the rally. 
Fit India freedom run under the aegis of Fit India Movement organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports is a nation-wide campaign which was commenced from August 15to promote a culture of fitness in the country which also coincides with the closure of commemoration of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2.
