SSUPCC celebrates 25th anniversary

Sumi Students Union Public College of Commerce (SSUPCC) celebrated its silver jubilee under the theme, “reprocess furthermore” at Rotary Club, Dimapur on December 14. 

The celebration was graced by Khekiye Sema (retd.) as guest speaker, wherein he congratulated the founding members of SSUPCC and lauded the past and present leaders and members of the union for taking the union this far. 

He called upon the gathering not to forget the former leaders, whose sacrifices have made successful and fruitful long journey of 25 years of existence. He further encouraged the students to have a sense of responsibility by maintaining unity in order to pave way for the younger generations.  “To achieve 25 years is a sign of maturity and we should live accordingly”, he remarked.  

Earlier, special numbers by Livika Wokhami and “Timeless Band” enthralled the gathering. Prayer session for the jubilee was offered by associate pastor, Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church, Kanili Aye. Greetings message was delivered by founder SSUPCC, Y. Lhotoi Awomi, who also unveiled the jubilee monolith in the college campus.

Earlier, the celebration began with a prayer by youth pastor, NCRC Sumi Purana Bazar, Tovika Aye while chairman jubilee planning board, John Achumi welcomed the gathering.
