State records 101 fresh Covid case; 6 deaths

Nagaland on Monday recorded 101 Coivd-19 positive cases while six more deaths were reported from across the State.

Of the fresh cases, 77 were reported in Dimapur, 11 in Kohima, four in Mon, three each in Mokokchung and Zunheboto, two in Longleng and one in Peren, taking the total caseload to 14451. The death toll rose to 115 after six more patients succumbed to the virus. Nagaland currently has 1,584 active COVID-19 cases while 12,325 patients have recuperated from the infection.

Meanwhile, a total of 2,12,124 beneficiaries have been inoculated against Covid-19 (168718 first dose and 43406 second dose).

Further, State Immunization Officer, Dr. Ritu Thurr has informed that those under the priority group-- health care workers (HCWs), frontline workers (FLWs) and persons above 45 years-- who had taken their first dose at private CVC on or before April 30 will be eligible to receive the second dose at government CVCs free of cost using the government of India Supplies. Those eligible for the second dose have been asked to bring along the document submitted during the first dose and the registered mobile phone.
