Super Six Cricket tournament underway in Kohima

The first open Super Six Cricket tournament, organised by the United Brothers got underway on March 12 at Ruzuhukhrie Government Higher Secondary School Ground, Kohima.

Ten matches were played on the first day of the tournament where XL Red Cricket Academy, Jagguarnauts, NV Press, MC Aloo, KODH, BRTF and Royals won their respective matches and men of match were awarded with certificates. The quarter finals, semi-finals and final will be played on March 14 and the matches will begin from 8 a.m. The winning team will walk away with Rs. 10,000 and the runners-up will receive Rs. 5,000.

The organizers have encouraged all cricket lovers to come and witness the matches and join this cricket festive. The organizers also informed all to maintain SOPs as per the guidelines issued by the Medical Department and requested all to ensure cleanliness in and around the ground, this was stated in a DIPR report.
