Thirty silver coins but at what cost?

This is a message to my young Naga brothers and sisters in Christ and for anyone spiritually thirsty. It is my prayer that God will speak to you through this.

Today our young people, especially the teenagers, are so caught up in the world; we forget that the devil is the god of this world (2 Corin. 4:4) and we are worshipping the very world he rules over. Everywhere we go, there are deceptions - new age occult, homosexuality, prosperity gospel, one world religion, human idolatry, media filth, and in all these we the so called Christian youths are blindly indulging without knowing where we are heading to. No matter how smart, woke, strong and desirable we think we are, our wisdom is foolishness to God and only by God we can be led to understanding and discernment.
God brought Christianity to our doorsteps and transformed Nagaland. Our grandparents are a testimony to that. They held on to Jesus in their helplessness and were in love with Him so much that they declared Nagaland for Christ. Unfortunately today, we the Naga youth are lack luster and lukewarm, most of us do not even understand the true essence of the Gospel of Christ - you may be aware of the death and resurrection but not aware about the joy and transformation and life that comes from Christ alone. You may go to church, sing worship songs and listen to sermons but true closeness comes from reading of the Word and praying in the spirit in a quiet secret place with the Lord and I encourage all to do so.
These days, popular media depicts Christianity as oppressive and non-conforming to worldly views. A perverted gospel of accommodation is preached in songs and sermons and there is an alarming rise of ideas and practices among young people compromising the very existence of a Christian God. It is no secret that Christians are persecuted in many parts of the world. Are we praying for them? Today it’s them but tomorrow it’s us. And we the youth will be the subsequent recipient of such persecutions. Are we ready to endure the trials and present ourselves to Christ as His bride that’s purely sold out for Him alone? We the Naga youth do not seem to be prepared for anything yet. The serpent is already at work and we blindly nod along to its evil tactics and it saddens me that there’s nobody in our society to call out the young people to grow spiritually. If Christ could die for us, why can’t we live for Him?
It is my sincere call to everyone to break all your idols today - gaming, social media, substance abuse, BL media, victim-mentality, money madness, resentment, anything and everything that act as obstacles between you and Christ because these are the thirty silver coins we take in exchange for Christ in our lives and it’s never worth it. I pray that He will place a heart of repentance in all of us.
