Tout arrested, minor girl rescued by RPF

Acting on information on touting activities at Ashmath travel shop in Digboi Assam, RPF/CIB team of Tinsukia division comprising  sub inspector  Mridul Borah, constable  B. C. Rabha, Constable S. M. Meitei and constable H. G. Sharmah conducted raid and search at the said shop under supervision of Inspector/RPF/CIB/Tinsukia M. Lotha, with the help of Local Police, Digboi.

According to a press release by CPRO Subhanan Chanda,   Ashmath Hussain, 38 yrs, s/o Rahamatulla Hussain of Station Para, Digboi, Tinsukia (Assam) was arrested  from whom they recovery of 11 e-Tickets (6 live and 05 used e-tickets),  valued at Rs. 43,231 which were generated by use of personal user IDs like: Ashmath ,Ashmathsto and Ashmathhhh. One computer set and accessories were also seized from the shop. A case has been registered at RPF Post, Tinsukia vide No. 79/2020 dated 21.10.2020 u/s 143 Railways Act in this regard 

In another case on October 10 , 11:30 am, constable Biswajit Deka of RPF post, Guwahati, while performing duty at Guwahati PRS, noticed that three male youths moving suspiciously inside the PRS/Guwahati along with one minor girl. 

Biswajit Deka immediately informed the Inspector, RPFGuwahati over phone after which asst sub inspector, RPF L. K. Ray with ConstableNitin Kumar immediately detained them. The girl, aged 16,  who disclosed her name, said she hails from Basantpur village , PS: Alopatti Char, Barpeta, Assam. 

The three males detained are: Azidul Hoque, 19 yrs, s/o Saybar Rahman; Mijanur Rahman, 22 yrs (elder brother of Azidul Hoque), s/o Saybar Rahman, both of Chhaysimana village, PS- Alopatti char, Barpeta, Assam,  and Idrish Ali, 32 yrs, s/o Moinur Hoque of Solimari village, PS: Kolgachia, Barpeta, Assam. 

The RPF informed the father of the girl that she had been kidnapped by Azidul Hoque and 2 others in the night of October 12 for which he had already lodged an FIR to OC/Alopatti Char Police Station - case vide No. 83/2020 u/s 366(A)/34 IPC, dated 14.10.2020. 

OC Alopatti Char PS was also informed of the matter.  Later, the apprehended persons along with the rescued girl were handed over to Assam Police team comprising asst sub inspector Suruzul Haque of Alopatti Char PS at RPF Post, Guwahati for further legal action. The arrested persons revealed that they were planning to flee to Kerala by train along with the kidnapped girl.
