Tuensang, Longleng hold DPDB meet

The monthly District Planning and Development Board meeting of Tuensang and Longleng were held at their respective Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall on November 6. According to DIPR report, for Tuensang, the meeting was chaired by DC and vice chairman DPDB Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant. 

The forum discussed on the present scenario of COVID-19. The DC enquired on office attendance and functioning of the respective departments of the district.

Agenda on opening of schools was discussed where the ADEO Tuensang responded that the department is all preparing but will depend on the NBSE survey directives. She highlighted on all the ongoing exercises in the department like online classes and exams where she also mentioned the partial classes for classes IX and X but said that the outcome is too small. She mentioned factors that are hampering the ongoing processes like slow internet connectivity and infrastructures for segregation of the pupils inside the class.

IRCS agenda on enrolment of officers of the district was also discussed and reaffirmed that the DPDB members be a member IRCS. Er. Chingmak Chang Executive Engineers, Water Resources Tuensang was conferred a life time officer member of IRCS of the district.

The agenda of dilapidated condition of NH-202 was also discussed where the EE NH Tuensang responded that the restoration works are on and department workforce at stationed at three different places in action. 

He informed the house that at the earliest possible, the NH 202 will be taken over by NHIDCL which may be a good sign for the improvement of the road. 

While other members also apprised on the deplorable condition needs new construction with widening new bridges and are of the view that only repairing could not give the solution to the recent situations. The NH department Tuensang was asked to furnish the details of the roads and bridges within NH-202 so that DP&DB may forward to the competent authority for the early bailout of the situation. 

The house also discussed on the random parking vehicles at the road and traffic diversions within the town and decided to set up a committee comprising district administration, town council, transport, police and all ward union to review the matter.    

Longleng DPDB meeting: The meeting was chaired by of ADC Longleng D. Robin. At the meeting, ADC requested all HODs to attend the monthly meeting without fail, and also informed that incase the HODs cannot attend in person, representative from the department who has department work knowledge should attend the meeting.

Review discussed on some important points including upgradation of police post at Tamlu HQ, to be taken up as early as possible; Land survey - any departments who have not submitted the application for survey of land should submit the same at DC office, for survey report as early as possible, as directed by the Government of Nagaland.

Regarding registration of P. Helom Phom charitable society, the house agreed to forward for government registration.
