Tuensang medical team monitors NCD activities

As part of supervision and monitoring for Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) activities, a medical team from Chief Medical Officer (CMO) office Tuensang visited sub-centre health and wellness centres on April 14-15.

A press release by CMO Tuensang office stated that the team led by deputy CMO Tuensang Dr. G. Vihilo Sema along with Dr. John MO (IDSP) and NCD staff visited sub-centre health & wellness centres: Chingmei SC-HWC; Waphur SC-HWC; Hakchang SC-HWC and Sangsangnyu SC-HWC. The team checked the record register of NCD, availability of medicines and equipment in the health centres.
The team also interacted with health workers and discussed about how NCD screening was done, cases of NCD detection in a month among other issues.
The health staff also shared their grievances such as shortage of Community Based Assessment Checklist (CBAC) formats in the health centres. In this regard, the team assured that the formats would be dispatched soon.
