TVSU condemns ‘unwarranted raids’ by SF

Thilixu Village Students’ Union (TVSU) has condemned the pre-dawn “frequent unwarranted raids” conducted Indian security forces (SF) on “bonafide members” of Thilixu Village, Dimapur.

In a press release, TVSU president, Abetoli Kiba and general secretary, Ghunavi Aye said amid pandemic when all citizens are cautious and maintaining social distancing, the raid conducted at the residence of GPRN/NSCN kilonser, Hokato Vusshe in the wee hours on June 26 by security forces was “simply aims at the peaceful atmosphere”.

The union claimed that the raid resulted in physical and mental harassment to the family and alarmed the neighbourhood. 

Thilixu Village Students’ Union  has appealed both the parties to “agree on the cease-fire ground rules and mutually observe and abide” by the same.
