USSC warns ISPs on poor internet connectivity

United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) has meted out stern warning on poor internet connectivity to internet service providers (ISP) such as Airtel, Jio and BSNL under Sangtam jurisdiction, Kiphire and Longkhim/Chare (Tuensang).

In a letter to the centre manager by USSC through its president Sethrongba Y Yingbithongrü, the apex students’ organisation of Sangtam community stated that with complaints from online examinees regarding poor internet service in the district, USSC was compelled to warn ISPs to restore/improve internet connectivity within its jurisdiction with immediate effect.
Expressing dismay over the “pathetic internet service being provided to its consumers” and despite repeated appeals for improvement of internet service in the district, the conference said that the internet connectivity remained pathetic with no signs of improvement. 
Upon the desire of the students community in particular and the district people in general, USSC warned the concern authority to provide quality services at the earliest for convenience of the general public. 
USSC also stated that due to the poor internet connectivity, students were facing untold hardships and exploitation. 
Asserting that it would no longer remain silent spectators on the prolonged issue, the conference stated that the letter would serve as final warning to all ISPs within its jurisdiction.
Further, it stated that non adherence to the warning would lead the conference to take the law in its own hand and the officer in-charge of both Kiphire and Longkhim/Chare (Tuensang) would be held responsible for any eventualities.
