All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union  (AAPSU) asserted that they will not allow the territory of Arunachal Pradesh to be disintegrated and disturbed in the event of any solution to the Naga issue, sreport the Arunachal24.in.

Addressing press conference here at Arunachal Press club AAPSU general secretary Tobam Dai said that they are for peace and welcome the Naga talks and Naga Peace Accords, but asserted that no territory of Arunachal Pradesh should be included as part of the accord.

AAPSU also expressed dismay over Centre for not inviting the members or stakeholder from the state for discussion or conductive meeting on Naga Peace talk.

Dai said that “in 2019 MHA was planning for consultation with stakeholders of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Assam but was not materialized and again this year also central government is planning for Naga Peace talk but till today no invitation was received.” AAPSU said Centre should consult the stakeholders of the concern state before making any kinds of agreement.

With regard to reports about giving autonomous council as part of the peace deal, AAPSU president Hawa Bagang said AAPSU will never allow creation of autonomous council to divide Arunachal Pradesh.

While stating that they respect Naga Peace talk, Bagang said the agreement should be within Nagaland and not affect Arunachal Pradesh.

Bagang also appeal to the state government to convene a consultative meeting on the issue.
