Wood chopping competition organised by United Brothers which was scheduled to be held on April 30 at Solidarity Park, Kohima, has been postponed owing to the second wave of COVID pandemic.
A statement from the organisers said they regret the inconvenience caused to the players and interested spectators. While hoping that the current situation would subside, the organisers said they would hold the event tentatively in the month of May.
The organisers assured tickets buyers that they could use the same for entry as and when the event was held.
The statement further said since the event was a first of its kind in the State, the organisers wish to hold the event on the “best day possible”. On the brighter side, we are hoping to hold the event better prepared and with more entertaining lineups, the organisers said.
